Kaiping Xue received the bachelor’s degree from the Department of Information Security, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), in 2003, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electronic Engineering and Information Science (EEIS), USTC, in 2007. From May 2012 to May 2013, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Florida. He is currently a Professor with the School of Cyber Science and Technology, USTC. He is also the Director of the Network and Information Center, USTC. His research interests include next-generation internet architecture design, transmission optimization, and network security. He is a fellow of IET. His work won the Best Paper Awards from IEEE MSN 2017 and IEEE HotICN 2019, the Best Paper Honorable Mention Award from ACM CCS 2022, the Best Paper Runner-Up Award from IEEE MASS 2018, and the Best Track Paper Award from MSN 2020. He serves on the editorial board of several journals, including the IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, and IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management. He has also served as a (Lead) Guest Editor for many reputed journals/magazines, including IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Communications Magazine, and IEEE Network.
