Beatriz Lorenzo is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She received her Ph.D. degree from the University of Oulu, Finland, in 2012, and M.Sc. degree in telecommunication engineering from the University of Vigo, Spain, in 2008. She was a senior researcher at the Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC) at the University of Oulu, Finland, and at the Atlantic Research Center for Information and Communication Technologies (AtlantTIC) at the University of Vigo, Spain. Dr. Lorenzo received the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Fellowship, University of Florida, from 2016 to 2017. She published more than 50 journal and conference papers in top IEEE/ACM journals. Her research has been funded by NSF, European, and industry projects and several awards. Dr. Lorenzo is an editor for IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology and serves regularly in the TCP of IEEE ICC, GLOBECOM, WCNC, PIMRC, and EUCNC conferences. She was general co-chair of WiMob conference in 2019.
